House Wrap
A proper house wrap is your home's essential first defense against air and moisture intrusion. We professionally install Tyvek® brand wrap to create a continuous, code-compliant weather barrier behind your siding. This critical step improves energy efficiency, prevents mold, and protects the structural integrity of your home for years to come.
Our crew begins by safely removing a section of siding to expose the sheathing. We thoroughly inspect the substrate for any existing damage, rot, or old wrap that needs removal. The wall surface is then cleaned and prepared to ensure optimal adhesion for the new tape and wrap.
We roll out and cut the Tyvek® wrap to size, starting from the bottom of the wall. Each sheet is installed horizontally with the proper overlap, stapled securely, and then sealed at all seams, corners, and around penetrations (windows, doors, outlets) with specialized Tyvek® tape to create a seamless, airtight barrier.
A meticulous visual inspection is conducted to verify there are no gaps, tears, or unsealed seams in the entire barrier. The worksite is cleared of all material scraps, used tape rolls, and packaging. The siding is then ready to be reinstalled over the new, high-performance house wrap.
